Public Versus Private

DDA frogThe goal of this project is to have a school that consists of families and teachers. That’s it. We want to avoid wasted time and resources connected with the bureaucracy of the public school system. Thus, we do not take any public funds, which come with strings attached and strangers making decisions for our kids. However, as a private school, we need to charge tuition to cover expenses (salaries, rent, utilities, materials, etc).

Tuition fees are $695/month per student, which allows for three spots in each class that will be free for low-income families. It is important to us to be accessible to families who otherwise would not be able to afford a private education. The hope is that as our reputation grows, fundraising efforts will begin to cover costs and tuition will decrease (or maybe even disappear!) for every student.
